Bo Bice

Bo's epic run on American Idol as runner-up to Carrie Underwood in 2005 is still one of the most watched seasons in the show's history. Bo has received many awards over his career. As a native of Alabama, being inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and having Governor Bob Riley declare May 24 Bo Bice Day were among the greatest honors of his career. Bo was also awarded for his contribution to his country by President George W. Bush at The White House in 2009 for his multiple trips to perform for U.S. service members at home and abroad, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Guantanamo Bay. Other accomplishments include VH1 "Big in 2005," MTV "Best Reality Show Contestants" 2005, and a string of three Gold albums from his contribution to the Idols 2005 compilation CD, his single "Vehicle," and his debut CD The Real Thing, recorded with Clive Davis and RCA Records.
