Family History Harvest: Preserving Family Stories Through Food
Every family recipe tells a story. In this workshop, led by oral historian Peggy Douglas and UTC History students, we’ll explore how food traditions can preserve family history and strengthen genealogical research. Bring a favorite family recipe, a photograph of the person who created it, and a brief story to share. Through guided discussion, you’ll discover practical ways to record, preserve, and pass down the memories, traditions, and personal histories that make family recipes treasured heirlooms for future generations. Co-hosted by the Scratching Your Roots Black Genealogy Society Space is limited, so please reserve your FREE seat.
